Recipe for Slime | Kids Crafts, Coloring Pages and Easy Recipes on Sparkplugging

My daughter had a playdate the other day and she asked me . . .

“Do you have any activities we could do?”

Hmmm. Do I know any kids’ activities? Let me think. :)

I thought it would be fun if we tried to make homemade slime. They totally agreed! Phew! I was able to come up with a kids’ activity without having to go back and read my own blog.

3. Add the food coloring. (Be careful! If you spill it like we did your hands will be stained for a couple days.)

4. Remove mixture from heat.

5. Allow slime to cool to room temperature.

Since we were anxious to play with the slime, I took the slime out of the saucepan, put it in a bowl and put the bowl in the fridge. I know patience is a virtue, but not when the playdate is only two hours!

The girls had a lot of fun not only making this quick and easy recipe for slime, but squishing their fingers in it when the slime was ready to play with. Of course, since it is slime, I did hear them squeal “Ewwww!“
