Kris Jones on Affiliate Marketing

Based on some of the feedback I’m getting from people around here, you have a huge interest in affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing is a monetization strategy that, prior to Elite Retreat, had left me a little mystified. Which is funny, because I used to be an affiliate manager for Socrates.com ! So even though I knew a lot about it, being self-taught, I didn’t know what I didn’t know (hope that makes sense).

It was encouraging (empowering, even!!) to listen to Kris Jones’ Elite Retreat presentation and not only did I totally understand most of what he was talking about, I realized I knew far more about affiliate marketing than I thought I did.

So I’ve launched some affiliate PPC campaigns recently to test the waters of direct linking, and I’ve renewed my faith in my abilities to make affiliate marketing work

Kris, though clearly a brilliant marketer, couldn’t blog his own presentation while talking. I feared he would simply not report on his own wisdom, but he threw up a phenomenal post today that really is the next best thing to having been there to hear him speak.

By the way, I learned most of what I know about affiliate marketing from Rosalind Gardner’s book I Raked In $436,797 Online In One Year (The Super Affiliate Handbook). Kris also recommends Jeremy Palmer’s Quit your Day Job.

Both are excellent resources for learning affiliate marketing and will easily pay for themselves if you follow their advice.
