My Planner 2.0

I’m experiencing an existential crisis of some kind. My world is shaking and I don’t like it.

The issue is this: I have loved and probably always will love the sensation of a pen in my hand on a clean sheet of paper.

I adore writing, erasing, notating, doodling, etc.

As I’ve become more and more digital in all my ways, I have never let go of my handy-dandy paper planner and I thought I never would.

Today I realized (hence the crisis) that I ask too much of my paper organizational system. I have too many projects and too large of a support team to manage.

When I own two computers at home, work substantial hours on another computer at my nephew’s house and have spent ridiculous money on my sexy Blackberry Curve – it’s crazy that I haven’t put my calendar 100% on the web so that it is accessible everywhere.

I’m a big fan of Google Aps and use Google Calendar to keep track things with my team. It’s time to move my own schedule onto this platform. My Curve has a ‘Google Sync’ application that keeps it in tune with what I’ve done online. I believe I have everything I need – I just have to go for it.

It’s time to let go of the old and embrace the new. This WAHM 2.0 has to embrace Planner 2.0.

I’ll be sure to let you know how it goes.
